Who are you?

Sometimes we spend so much time trying to figure out who we are that we forget to simply be who we are. Yes, it is important to know what we think, what we believe, how we feel - all of that. But none of these things truly defines who we are. We define who we are when we simply are.

I had this problem particularly when I had graduated from college and was trying to figure out my next steps. Sometimes we need to get out of our own heads, and simply live. Take a risk. Do something new. Serve someone else. Discover your passions by trying things.

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
~ Mahatma Ghandi

"So when we're thinking consciously about ourselves, we're less ourselves than when we're not being self-centered."
~ Madeleine L'Engle
